I need help with bios flah problem

bios updates

i own an hp and i downloaded the correct bios upgrade from support.hp.com and it didnt work correctly. now my computer tries to load from a boot disk (which you cant make, i found it on the internet). so once i load the bootdisk then what do i do. i get a list of:

1. dos
2. ghost
3. ntfs
4. rpm

i need some way to get my computer to POST so i can redo the upgrade or something> or can i redo it from the bootdisk
