So, I've been through the forums a couple of times so far today, but still can't figure out what's wrong.
I have a legal version of XP home edition(came with my new Dell). Now, I was able to install updates until about a month ago. Since about the beginning of July, I have been unable to install any updates. I go to the Update site, do the scan, and there it sits. I thought that maybe the server was slow the first time I waited, but it occcurs to me that a server CAN'T be this slow. All I get to see is the screen that says it's scanning for updates and that it's at 0%. It never goes any higher, staying at 0% even over night once. For a firewall, I have turned off the XP firewall and Nortons Personal Firewall as well to no avail.
Any answers anyone?
