I am attempting to use Teamviewer's WOL functionality to wake my PC using my mobile phone using a public IP address.
I have followed the user manual, port-forwarded, enabled WOL in my BIOS, disabled the deep sleep setting, and gone into my device manager to enable magic packets/waking the device.
Despite all of this, the PC will not turn on when using WOL. I receive no error message when attempting to send the magic package, whereas when I had used the wrong IP address it fed back a message saying that the app had failed to wake/reach the device.
I was at one point unable to see the magic packet enable option on my device manager, and have installed updated drivers, which rectified this issue. beyond this I have hit a wall and can no longer think of any other possible solutions. Nor can I find any more hints from online troubleshooting guides.
Thank you for your time and help!
I should also mention that I have checked to ensure that when my device is put to sleep, there is still a light indicating that power is supplied to my ethernet adapter, a light is also present on the router end.
