I have a 2016 toyota camry and a Viper remote starter..

recently i changed the battery in my car, i dont know if this is even pertinent to the issue but i thought i would let yall know, but my wife has said her remote starter isnt working. Normally we hit the button, flashes orange then green a few times and makes a chime. now, it flashes orange when i click it 1 time and then nothing at all.. previously if we tried to start it and it didnt work due to w/e like couldnt read correctly to the car, it would give an error sound from the remote.

I have gotten it to work twice and both times i was sitting in the physical car but only those 2 times. every other attempt to get it to work while sitting in the car resulted in the same situation above.

I did replace the battery in the remote as well once this started happening to see if that was the issue

anyone know what it is?

Hi,

According to Viper Support, If you have already changed the batteries in your remote and the system still fails to respond the next thing to do is to try to reprogram the remote. The programming method used for your specific system can differ from unit to unit and therefore it is important that you determine which system you have so that you attempt the proper programming sequence. Once you determine the model number of your system our knowledgebase can help you determine how your remote is to be programmed. If you don’t know the model you have, refer to your owners guide, original purchase order, or contact a local Authorized Dealer for assistance.
