Hi everyone, ran Windows update on my HP Envy Laptop 14-eb0xxx and wanted to go from Windows 10 to 11, downloaded it, started installation and all I got was the hp logo with a spinner icon below. Tried to get into Recovery mode but it won't do it, shows blue screen with error code 0xc0000225 and it reverts back to the hp logo and spinner. Was wondering if there's anything that I can try before taking it somewhere to repair/recover? Many thanks for any suggestions.

More info:

When I press the power button and F9, the Recovery screen appears with that error code. If I hit 'Enter' to try again, the screen flashes each time I click it and nothing happens. When I choose F1, screen displays the hp logo and 'spinner' icon and stays like that for hours until I choose to power off the computer. If I choose F8, screen flashes again and nothing happens. Choosing ESC goes to Start Up menu where I tried to click F11 which takes me back to the original Recovery screen again.

If there are no files you need from that Laptop, try to recover the win10 system using Win 10 Bootable install media either by recovering the previous install or making a new install.
if you have Files you need then remove the disk, assuming that it is not like an eMMC like my Hp Stream 14 which is soldered to the Motherboard, and recover your files if possible from another device.

A quick search tells me it is a 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ TLC M.2 SSD

If F11 doesn't work, on another computer download and install the Windows 10 installation media to a USB drive. Place it in a USB port and see if the system won't boot from it. If it will, go to "Repair My Computer" using advanced options and perform a "Startup Repair. If won't, try to press F10 on boot to enter the BIOS and set the boot order USB first.

Hi everyone, well, still getting the hp spinning logo. Took the computer to Microcenter--please take it easy on me for that-- they said:

'When upgrading to windows 11 (and windows does not tell you this) the Intel Optane memory setting needs to be disabled to successfully install and upgrade to windows 11. In that process it seems the partitions holding your windows copy, have become corrupted, and will need to be reinstalled.'
