Port Forwarding for Minecraft Server

Hey guys, I'm sure the question has been asked hundreds of times, but though I follow every bit of advice I manage to find online, I still can't seem to get port forwarding to work on my network for the Minecraft server I'm trying to run.

I'm using a Trendnet TEW-731BR router, and between PortForward.com and Trendnet's own website, I've seen that within the settings I'm either supposed to put the port forwarding information on the Virtual Server page, or the Firewall Rule page. I set my computer up with an IP outside of the DHCP range and tried enabling each of those (Virtual Server and Firewall Rule) as well as both of them together.

Nonetheless though, I can neither connect to the server from another computer, nor get a positive open port result from the PFPortChecker utility (from PortForward.com), nor get a positive result from canyouseeme.org.

I've attached a screenshot of the settings on each page that I mentioned before, but let me know if there's anything else in my settings that you need to see. I'm out of ideas, unfortunately, so I'd really appreciate any kind of guidance as to what else I can try to make this server accessible online.

Thank you in advance for all of your help!

Can you access the MC server from your lan? You have to be able to do that first before moving on to trying from the internet.

post the results of a tracert yahoo.com to see if you are going thru some private ip routers which would prevent you from port forwarding.

Ah good point, I hadn't tried that before... but I just did, by starting the server on this computer and putting its local IP into the direct connect field on another computer, and I was able to connect successfully!

Also, attached is a screenshot of the tracert...

Does not look like you will be able to do any port forwarding successfully.

You have three routers between you and the public ip address.
1 @ 192.168.10.1 <--your lan
2 @ 192.168.0.1 <-- private ip not public like you need
3 @ 10.5.94.1 <-- private ip again.

You would need to forward the same port(s) in all three routers for MC to work. Doubt you have access to #3 or #2

Man, that's a shame, but thank you so much for your help nonetheless! Do you, by any chance, know of any alternative options for me? I've heard of the program Hamachi but I don't know a ton about it, so I don't quite know exactly what that would entail, besides both people having to download and install it (which is fine, I only want a server to play with one other person).

Either way, thank you so much for your time and help, I really appreciate it :)
