Poor quality of exported video

Hello. I am having trouble editing a video and looking for advice. The video quality degrades so bad the text is barely readable; the original video is clear and very crisp. I am using the free version of VSDC. The original file is a MOV and I'm trying to get a clip and export it as MP4. I tried converting the video using Handbrake, the exported video improved a bit, but the text is still not clear enough.

What else can I do? My computer is not able to support more powerful tools like DaVinci and video editing is not my job, we just need this for a project.

Thank you Corday, johnwill. Used VLC but the exported clip won't play. I tried to convert it using Handbrake (MKV to MP4) and it said the file was invalid.

I then tried editing a video I recorded on my phone using VSDC and it worked without a problem.

Am I doing something wrong? Why am I having issues with the video in question?

Thanks.

RAM (Random Access Memory) and SSD (Solid State Drive) are two entirely different things.
