Ok, so i have researched some forums for 5 days now. I can't seem to get Java 7 or Java 8 on my computer. I am a gamer, and i was having problems on a minecraft server. I kept getting disconnected but everyone else was fine. I uninstalled what appeared to be 2 different updated versions of Java 7. I thought java was the culprit. Well now I am trying to get java back on my system. Any help would be awesome!

Yes I did. i have tried uninstalling using JavaRa regularly and in safe mode. I am using chrome, I don't know if that makes a difference seeing as though I close chrome after I download the installer. Right now i am trying Java 8, and it keeps saying that it needs to close jp2laucher.exe because it is using java, then ends in failure like always. it gave me a code, error: 1604... i googled that and really got nowhere with it. Also i tried a System restore to before I uninstalled java and it failed. I then looked online to see what i could do about that an people said to do it in safe mode, but when I tried again, I lost that restore point due to the, "Undo" - restore point, which now became the latest restore point, which pushed the original restore off the list. Hope that made sense. Lol

In the CP disable jp2launcher, Administrative Tools\Services. Hope we get this going. In the future, don't use JavaRa except for emergencies. After Java installs, it checks and makes sure it has uninstalled old versions.

Just checked there, doesn't show up. also checked msconfig. Nothing there either. I used JavaRa mainly because I thought an older version was interfering with the installation process. But thank you for that tip! I used CP and typed " java -version" and it actually comes up with a version and i used java's website to check my version and it says i have Java 7 installed and its up to date. But when i open minecraft it says: " The registry refers to a nonexistent Java Runtime Enviroment installation or the runtime is corrupted. The system cannot find the path specified." the label of that window is "Launch4j". So what i did is go to the Enviroment Variables in Advanced system settings and manually create a path to the java jre7 bin folder. but still this error pops up. I really hope im not just making it worse on me
