HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One.

Hi all,

I have had years of faithful service from my printer, but just now it has started to play up on me.

I changed the black ink cartrige and now it keeps giving me a paper jam message (though there is no paper jam). It draws a sheet of paper half way through and stops, saying "Paper jam. Clear jam and then press OK".

Despite me doing this several times and also re-seating both ink cartridges it continues to give me that message.

Any ideas on what I caould do to avoid a trip to the HP service centre??

hi and welcome to TSF

one suggestion is to get a can of compressed air and blow out the printer. it could be that the sensor is faulty.

Is there a sepecific component or area in the printer to go for or do I just give it a general spray?

I was wondering whether there's a full reset available for this printer, other than pulling the power cable out of the socket..........

i would just give the entire inside a good cleaning and here is what i found about reseting the printer.

That was very helpful thanks, but it's actually getting full-blown paper jams now so I will give up and take it to HP.
