So i wanted to install a copy of windows 7 on my pc but didnt want to lose windows xp, so i got some program (forgot the name) to partition the hard drive and on windows xp i then set windows 7 as the default operating system and set the os boot selection menu for 5 seconds. I then decided to remove windows 7 but stupidly deleted the partion before removing the boot menu setting and before actually removing windows 7. now what happens is when i turn my computer on it goes to the boot menu calleed windows boot manager and i have to choose the option earlier installations of windows or windows 7 if i choose earlier installation it loads up xp if i choose windows 7 or i dont choose anything after a few seconds it goes to a menu saying
windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause. to fix the problem:
1. insert windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. choose your language settings and then click "next".
3. click repair your computer.
status oxc0000225
info: the boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible
i tried to follow the instructions with the window 7 disk with no success it came to the same menu.
i then have to press a button for it to restart and start over to the same menu. help!!
sorry for the lack of information its been a while
