Ethernet Won't connect, problem with Connection-Specific DNS Suffix

I live in the dorms at school. Our school uses some sort of authentication when you plug in your Ethernet cable. You go to their website or google and then it's redirected to a webpage where you sign in your username and password details to acquire internet access. My problem came up when I was playing a video game and the Ethernet cable was yanked out of my laptop accidentally by a friend. When I tried to plug it back in a popup from windows 10 came to the side about how I should treat the network and I accidentally clicked an option (no clue what the options were). Afterward, I could not connect to the internet.

I've been researching this myself to figure out what is wrong. A different ethernet cord in another room also had the same issue, so It had to be something wrong with the network settings. I went to command prompt and looked at my ipconfig and noticed that the Connection-specific DNS suffix was stuck on my school's website address. Even after flushing the DNS the connection-specific DNS suffix does not go away. In the IPv4 properties obtain an IP address automatically, and obtain DNS server address automatically are checked. In Advanced TCP/IP settings: IP addresses has IP address and Subnet mask on the same line and DHCP Enabled. Default gateways: has Gateway and Metric on the same line and automatic metric is checked. Under DNS settings: the top box is blank, append primary and connection specific DNS suffixes and append parent suffixes of the primary DNS suffix are both clicked. Append these DNS suffixes is blank, and Register this connection's addresses in DNS is clicked.

I'm assuming it's a problem with DNS or a profile my computer has loaded on it due to me stupidly clicking the popup without thinking. Any help would be great.

Here's my ipconfig /all:

"I'm assuming it's a problem with DNS "

It's not.

"it's redirected to a webpage where you sign in "

That is called a captive portal.

"Ethernet cable was yanked out of my laptop"

Odds are the physical port was damaged. Is the laptop under warranty?

It is definitely not a damaged Ethernet port, the computer while plugged into the Ethernet realizes that Ethernet is plugged in, and besides the Ethernet cord I was using when it was yanked out had to be taped to the table or it fell out on it's own. Under status it shows 100Mbps speed, and it is sending and receiving cookies. It just won't redirect to the captive portal. I can get WiFi access through the school WiFi.

The differences between the WiFi connection and the Ethernet connection are only concerning the IPv4. Notice how the wireless has 10.65.218.5 and the Ethernet shows 192.168.1.1 (my ipconfig below while connected to wireless and have Ethernet plugged in). This must be some sort of bug with the DNS settings, drivers, registries... I'm just not knowledgeable enough to understand what is wrong.

good thing about the cord

not seeing anything wrong with your wifi or Ethernet. They are connecting to two different networks.

Post a pic of your network conections so we can see the listed interfaces also the list of networks would be nice

Did you check your firewall settings? Perhaps you blocked the Ethernet network
