hi there i hava an acer laptop was working perfectly tues am put it back on tues pm and now i am getting my windows is not right and am now gwtting error code ox80070426 saying this service has not been started please help me thankyou x

That error means the Software Licencing Service has failed to start, a vital service for Windows Activation & Validation. Vista uses this service to check itself and to confirm it is Genuine.

Also this, from Microsoft Help & Support:
You may be prompted to activate Windows Vista on a computer on which Windows Vista was already activated by a Volume License or OEM installation
