Can you remap the keys in the game's options?

Full list of controls: Empires: Dawn of the Modern World - Controls - allgame

On an AZERTY keyboard, the \ key is the third option on the 8 key, probably Alt or Ctrl.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work either. I've tried both Alt and Ctrl on the 8 button, but it doesn't do anything. Also, on my Azerty-keyboard, the \ button is the third option under the < button, like your qwerty. But that doesn't work either, nor with Altr or Ctrl.

As for the re-editting of the shorcut-keys, yes I can, but the 'rotate building' option isn't in the list of shortcut-keys?!

You could try using a key remapper like SharpKeys. Not an ideal solution as it changes the key for all programs, not just the game, but might be a good workaround until something better comes along.
