dell laptop XPS m1730 graphics card alternative ?

i all just my graphics card on my laptop xps m1730 has gone completely and i really cant afford to buy a replacement of the same type , i was wondering if any one can recommend a cheaper alternative it doesn't have to be as good really as i hardly play any games but would still like it to be able to play some many thanks on any help you can give

It had a Dual Nvidia GeForce 8700M-GT in SLI (256MB each) before

The only laptop components that are really replaceable / upgradeable by the end user are the RAM and HDD. The graphics card is on the motherboard and not replaceable.

What is happening that is making you say the graphics card is bad?

OK.. I just registered to answer this. I know this threat is a year old, but it's out there nevertheless.

The XPS m1730 has a M8700, M8800 or M8900 Nvidia SLI graphics card that comes as a replaceable module. (you can remove, replace and/or upgrade the card).

So, I BUMB this threat because I too need to know if there is a cheaper replacement.
