When you install Windows it makes a Users>>"User" name. This is something that I wanted to change because I made a mistake with the name. For example I installed Windows 11 and use my phone number as a username. I was upset to see that my username folder was: 18183 which is the first part of my phone number. I wanted to change that to something like "User" or "Fred" but was stuck with 18183 and did not know how to change that to User. How would you rename this User folder that is Users>>"User"? On another computer I have it is listed like this: Users>>LocalAdmin. I would like to change that to User as well. I have several computers and most of them I sell so I don't want my phone number as that User folder.

Yeah, it's the User folder that stays the same if you change the username or computer name. It's almost easier to just to reinstall Windows. On these newer computers you can have Windows installed in 10 minutes. Customizing, tweaking and tuning takes longer of course. Then you got to tune Edge, Office, new programs. I wonder why they made it so complicated. I read that Microsoft link that redirects again to https://www.elevenforum.com/t/change-name-of-us... for a major overhaul.
