Hello,

I have a really annoying problem with my dell inspiron 1564 laptop. I don't see my bluetooth device under device manager. I have enabled bluetooth from BIOS and have set appropriate settings to Wireless switch in BIOS.

I have downloaded the latest driver for Bluetooth from Dell site but it keeps me asking to Switch on Bluetooth from wireless network. But my problem is that I don't see bluetooth device anywhere (except in the services section).

Please help me out as I need the bluetooth for my presentation in two days time.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for your answers but I tried every alternative but have not been able to find a solution for it. I think the chip is missing from my PC hardware, do you think this can be a case (I bought my laptop from australia and now I am outside australia so I cannot claim on anything).

There are no sliding switches to turn on the bluetooth device and I don't see any light which specifies bluetooth to be on.

Is there anyone else who has had a similar type of experience?

Please let me know.

Thanks

i am using a dell inspiron 1564 2 gb ram

I was using my wireless head set nd suddenly the bluetooth went off nd I couldn't start it again ever since. I have tried the fn + f2 button but it is unresponsive only the wireless go on or off.
I have checked the bios the bluetooth is enabled I have downloaded nd tried all the drivers frm the site the error there says tht a driver is already installed remove that nd try again. In the device manager also there is no bluetooth software. Please som one give a solution to this proble it will be a great help to me.
