Recently I have had to re-install XP Home due to some other problems but I'm having a VERY BAD PROBLEM from installing it.
I format the HDD to NTFS, then I install XP Home (with the CD) and set it up, once I'm through that it reboots, after that all it does is boot the XP load screen, after a bit it reboots the computer, occasionally il get the safe mode startup and as soon as any of the options load, puts it back into the infinity loop, until i finally force power off the computer.
I format the HDD to NTFS, install XP Home with my manufacturers restore CD (Emachine Restore Disc), go through the setup. I'm able to go on but as SOON as I update at all, from Microsoft download center ones, Microsoft Update one (online) or the Windows Update as soon as I reboot to finish the install the computer goes into the infinity loop once again.
Thanks in advance.
