ACER Travelmate 5744 upgrade

Hey guys,
I have a problem and I don't know whom to ask.
My Acer TM5744 has an Intel core i3 380M and I would like to upgrade to i5 (or i7 even), other than that, I'd also like to upgrade from RAM 4GB to 8GB and from Microsoft 7 to Microsoft 10. This laptop has been with me for quite a while so I'd much rather keep it.
So is it doable? Will there be any post-effects?

Hi and Welcome to TSF!

While it is possible to upgrade a laptop CPU, I wouldn't advise doing it.

That system is quite old and I would recommend purchasing a new one instead of putting money into it.

Thank you for replying.
Do you know how expensive it would be to upgrade the Intel chip?
Since I can't afford a new laptop as of now, I think I'll buy another RAM slot and see if my PC can handle the workload.

RAM would help in a way, but won't make it load things faster.

I honestly would continue to save money for a new laptop instead, not putting any more money into this one. A CPU upgrade would be more expensive than just getting a new laptop.
