1066 vs 800

Hello all.

I"m buying a new motherboard to support my new Phenom quad-core cpu. As of right now, I'm running 6GB of Corsair 800mhz RAM.

My question is:

With most newer motherboards, the standard memory that they support is 1066mhz.

Will my 800 work on a 1066 board?

Your current one supports both.

well according to this, the motherboard of choice supports multiple RAM. However, I was looking into a few different ones that supported ONLY standard 1066 RAM. Would it support 800mhz?

Here is the Asus QVL or use a memory configuration utility at the memory manufacturers web site like www.corsair.com

Also note that with DDR2 1066 AMD AM2+ cpu's have a limitation of 1 stick per channel so I would run DDR2 800 anyway.
