· What was original installed OS on system ==> VISTA
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer) ==> OEM
· Age of system (hardware) ==> 5 years
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS ==> 1 months. yes. Recovered to factory settings
· CPU
· Video Card
· MotherBoard

Hi,

Both BSODs are APC_INDEX_MISMATCH, as you said. This appears to be a driver issue, but no driver is explicitly blamed. Please download any available driver updates from Sony's site - Sony eSupport - Electronics - Select Your Model

Also turn the Driver Verifier on - http://www.techsupportforum.com/for...um.com/forums/f217/driver-verifier-windows-7-and-vista-bsod-related-473665.html

Regards,
Reventon

Hi

thanks for your quick update.

i noticed exclamation mark next to WPD FileSystem Volume Driver under Device Manager. I uninstalled the device. I hope this is causing the issue. After this i am not getting BSOP now. Anyhow i need to observe my laptop behaviour for atleast a week. Moreover i will search for updated driver for the above device.

Dayalan
