Hello all, so I've had this problem a couple of times recently, and it will just happen randomly. I have a network going on connected is a wireless mac, my roomate on a hardline, and me on a hardline. Occasionaly my connection will simply die on me, i have no idea why, it just will and it'll usually restore in a couple of hours or so, I'll restart my computer, my router, etc and it'll just work. But now my connection has died, and has been dead for a few days. This is only on my computer that it's happening. Anyhoo

I start menu > run > cmd

Offhand, I'd say the NIC may be dying, since it used to wink out for a couple of hours, and now it's totally gone. I'd try a new cable and a new port on the router. If that doesn't do it, I'd be shopping for a new NIC.
