A bit of a strange one here: I'm running Windows 7 and Firefox. My Yahoo is my homepage but I do not use Yahoo mail. During the last few days, the Yahoo mail site has been popping up, uncommanded, on my browser. If I don't close the tab, it will continue to pop up every few minutes until I have a series of Yahoo mail pages open. Any idea how I can stop this (without deleting my Yahoo account--I want to keep My Yahoo and just get rid of the mail function.

Not so strange. This pest is all over the Yahoo! forums and needless to say it's caused much annoyance. It's a tactic used by Yahoo! in hopes that you'll sign up to their enhanced service which is pop-up free.

Try installing Adblock Plus extension in to Firefox:
