Yahoo mail Deletion

Very aggravated the way Yahoo Mail deletion works. I have to get rid of a bunch of emails. One folder has 23000! I check the box at the top of the email to select all emails. A message comes up that there are say 21000 messages. I click on that, selecting all. Then select delete and it deletes 100 messages.

How do you bulk delete in an efficient way. I am using the new not classic. Would going back to classic sovle this problem?

If I cannot resolve this, I am going to have to abandon Yahoo. I do not have the time require to piece meal delete.

Yahoo has it setup so only the emails you can view on one page, 100, can be selected to delete.
After deleting, it offers you another 100 to select.
So, it is a good idea to be vigilant to always delete or move to a folder any emails as soon as you read them and not let them build up

Should you go gmail, they do the same ... and you still have to go into deleted items to clear the whole deleted items contents.

SOLVED - OK, on a whim I decided to go back to classic Yahoo, and it works as expected. I have deleted tens of thousands of emails using the method of selecting all, confirming the entire number in the folder and deleting. On folders with a large number of messages, it takes awhile but it does them all with no intervention. BTW Gmail does work in deleting all in a similar way. I think I will stick with classic because obviously Yahoo has screwed up on the updated version. It appears to work the same way but never actually selects more than the number of messages on the screen.

Yahoo appear to be pushing their "new" app, but I got blocked from it some time back due to password issues. I went back to the web method where my password was accepted. Since then, in spite of my preferred language being specified in my profile, it insists on giving me the language according to my location. AI seems to have taken over and I am advised to pay a premium for the privilege of them fixing a problem they have created .... be prepared for more problems ...

Note that I did a switch from old mail to new mail and didn't like it. I then went back to old mail and Yahoo deleted 4 years of my important drafts. They said that I could not get them back. 4 years of drafts that I needed for my business gone. Doncha love technology? Don't trust them.

Drafts is not a place to save Emails. You should create an Email folder in Yahoo mail.
Drag and Drop of copy and paste your emails to this folder.
Drafts is a folder for saving emails or templates that you will edit later.

Any emails for work or that are extremely important, should be backed up to your computer.

Agree 1,000,0000% Another alternative is to use a client and only put the stuff that's really important there. You'll have it on your computer and voila, you can even back it up.

Once you create a new email, you can just save it to a folder.
You don't have to send it to yourself or save it to Drafts.

Every few weeks, backup the emails you want to keep
