Yahoo filters senders IP and other factors. Any commonality there with the ones going to Spam?

 

Yes almost everything going to Spam is email from just two websites: Craigslist and Nextdoor.

So I'm setting up a whitelist folder to stop my emails from going to Spam. Under "Set Rules", "Contains", I entered craigslist nextdoor. Next there is a section called "Choose a Folder to Move To". How do I fill this in so that the emails land in my Inbox ?

 

Try Inbox.

 

The only standard folder options in the drop down box are "Archive" or "Trash".

 

We might have different versions. Does your whitelist area look like this?

If so and you can't get any further, go to one of the Contacts (not the pop-up) that's still going to spam and check both the name and Email address against an actual Email for accuracy. Moving from Spam to Inbox should have always created a permanent situation unless you're using an ad blocker. Finally again in "Settings" >Security & Privacy (right under Filters), make sure your problem sites aren't there.

 

Looks exactly alike. When I go to "Select Folder" there is no Inbox option. Only Archive and Trash. Of course, I was thinking I would be given the Inbox option.

 

I don't have a pop-up blocker installed. My Chrome defaults are:
Block ads on sites that show intrusive or misleading ads
Don't allow sites to send pop-ups or use redirects

 

First try a different browser just to be sure or temporarily change Chrome defaults. My FF allows either of these two options:

My Filters say "0 of 500 used".

 

Just tried Firefox but same two options in drop down box: Archive and Trash.

 

How did you get "Inbox" in the Choose a Folder to Move to field ?

 

Did you just leave "Select Folder" blank and type in the word "Inbox" yourself ?

So they omit Inbox from the drop down but then allow you write it in yourself ? Sounds strange but I will try it.

 

Tried to create an "Inbox" folder. Yahoo flashes red "failed creating Inbox folder" message.
