Xpert Vision 8600gt: help needed!

2486 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  dai
Well. first of all Hello :)

after 2 weeks of trying my best to sort this myself i gave up.

the problem: im building my new machine and for some reason i cant seem to get a good picture quality! movies on my 5 years old AGP card even looked better!

the card :xpert vision 8600gt 1gb

I’ve tried installing the new drivers from nvidia and it didn’t help.

its like the desktop fonts are a little bit out of focus and every time im trying to watch a film the picture quality is just rubbish.

one more thing that annoy the hell out of me is that the brightness keep changing every time im closing or opening a window. its nothing major but its one of these little things that you just know that shouldn’t be there if you know what i mean..

anyways here i am now sending my message in a bottle in a hope that it will reach someone shore..

Please Help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cpu: Core2Quad Q9300
mobo: ASRock Penryn1600SLI-110DB
power supply:Wizard case with 600W
monitor: 32" samsung lcd on 60 refresh rate.
we always recommend buying the case and power supply as seperate items
case and supply 50 pounds
you would expect to find a power 650w supply costing 60pounds+ on it's own in there
try reinstalling the drivers again
in the device manager uninstall the card
reboot tapping f8 and choose vga mode
when windows finishes rebooting
disable a/virus
install your drivers
reboot the computer
