I am trying to setup Windows XP on a Gateway Notebook MT6840.
After pressing Enter to start with Windoes setup, it gives the message :
"Set up did not find any hard drives installed in your computer".

This computer has Windows Vista pre-installed. I defined a new partition there, and that is where I want to install XP. Also , it has a SATA driver.
It only has CD Drive, no floppy Drive.

I know that during the setup, and before getting the message , you can press F6 to load SCSI/RAID controllers, i do not know if I have to press it, and then F2 for recovery. However, this computer only has CD Drive, no floppy Drive.

Any suggestion to fix this problem?

Thanks

Luis

While installing the Operating System, when you press F6 to load controllers, would the computer recognize the USB drives ? . I think that it looks at drive A: for the files
