XP Security 2012 Virus TCP/IP Problems

I caught the XP Security 2012 virus and removed it with Malwarebytes, Avast, SuperAntiSpyware. It appears to have caused my TCP/IP internet connections (Wireless Network Connection & Local Area Connection) to stop working as it continually shows "Acquiring network address" and never connects.

uninstall all antivirus's till you only have one left ,

reboot and see if that fixed the problem ,

else boot in safe mode with networking ,

if that fails too , do a clean safe mode startup boot.
I don't think this will be enough.

I had the exact same problem, removed XP antivirus 2012 virus, as per I downloaded xp security 2012 and I need to remove it. Can i do it myself or do I need a professional? - Yahoo! Answers and still got the EXACT SAME TCP/IP connectivity problems (also RPC problems).

The solution was to fix the registry key Afd which was probably removed by XP antivirus 2012! That, in turn, reestablished internet connection after reboot. Found details on the net, thanks to Annoyances-Resolved: How To Remove XP Antivirus 2012 Virus For Free
