This is only disconcerting and not a problem YET. When I type CTRL ALT DEL on PC#1 I get this screen: (screen2.jpg). On PC#2, the same CTRL ALT DEL gets a slightly less functional screen that looks like this: (screen1.jpg). I would like #2 to look the same as #1. I want the functionality of the tabs at the top, i.e., File Options View Windows Help. Any ideas on how do make this happen would be appreciated.

Just double click anywhere on the border around the proceeses list and the tabs will come back.

to get rid of the tabs and be able to change the size of task manager [see what you have now (no tabs)], just double click the area next to the tabs

Make sure PC#1 and PC#2 have the same O/S. I think Pro's Task Manager is different than Home's.

They are the same OS (XP Pro) bought them the same day from the same store. Non-Problem is now fixed.

I wouldn't be 2, two too "almost embarrased". I've answered the same question twice today here and many other places in the past while everyone was running virus scans, hjt logs and the like - it's actually a "little known trick"
