Hi Everyone,

Hope you are enjoying you time. I just want to ask, what will happen if I try to install my OEM XP Home Edition on my laptop. I know that OEM software should be installed on one computer, but I am just curious as to what happen? Will Microsoft prenvent the activation? will my copy become illegal?

The installed copy on the laptop will be a false action against the lisence terms. You would be in violation. The OEM software should stay with the hardware in which it was purchased.

Thank you for your reply.

Another question, I have an intel celeron D processor, GHz 2.66 on the package I can read that it supports 64bit computing, does that mean that I can install Windows XP Professinoal 64? Will my computer work harder if I install this version of windows?

Thank you

I would start a new thread in hardware to get this question answered more appropriately. The driver support for XP-64 isn't the best from what I have heard. Perhaps start a thread with XP-64 in the subject line and you should get a bunch more hits that way.
