Go to microsoft.com and download Tweakui for XP. There is a tab that allows you to auto login to windows.

Hello, there is only one account on my computer, and that is me the administrator, but whenever i turn my pc on, it always comes to a welcome screen, where i have to click a little picture that has my name next to it, no password or anything,
how do you get windows to just turn on, boot up, and then go straight to the desktop?

Go to start / run and type
control userpasswords2
There will be a box
"this computer requires a username and password"
Uncheck that
It may ask for the username and password you wish to use if there are more than one .
Apply and restart, should not need a password any more.
