XP/ IE7 Update - Caused HD Crash ???

Hi Dave,

Have you tried putting the 200g drive in as a slave drive? Since you just installed XP on it, probably not too many other applications on it. Reformat it if it will let you and use it for data for a while as you regain confidence in it.

You could download and run the manufacturer's hd repair utilities on it.
