XP Pro good on Maxtor 13MB.
I jumpered it as master; slaved good Maxtor 46MB.
Both report correctly at boot.
XP's Disk Management sees one HDD.

Dell BIOS is settable to boot from slave.
Slave contains 98,
98 handles both HDDs as expected.

I'm not gonna bother to comment on your polite requests, heathen summed it up for me.

Anyway I assume you have a Cdrom in this computer so if you would be so kind as to list the Master/Slave settings for every IDE device in your computer.

Also: Please refrain from any further response suggestions or this thread is gonna end up with a nice shiny lock on it. :|

A lock will cut short
all this 11 yr old girl sensitivity
from getting full play of its misery.

Either way, I won't know.
