Ok heres the story.. two days ago everything was beautiful everything worked. I made the mistake of "trying to fix something that wasn't broken" ok we got that out of the way... i went to driverguide site and paid 29 bucks for em to scan my system and suggest updates.. i just downloaded their recommended updates. and ended up losing the sound in my Creative Audigy 4 so i uninstalled all the drivers and applications for my Audigy and figured xp2 woud detect it and i could re install everything.. no go... so i went to my device manager and uninstalled everything i could under the "sound video and games " heading.. and tried reinstalling..again.. xp2 detects the card as a multimedia audio controller... and asks me to put in my cd... i do but it wont take any drivers from it ... am i missing something? There is some sequence im certain. Please help

put the cd in while you are windows and click on the setup icon in the box that pops up

what i am saying is when it asks for the drivers exit without installing
then put in the cd and run setup
