To check the event viewer got to START-CONTROL PANEL-PERFORMANCE AND MAINTENANCE-ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS- EVENT VIEWER.
XP crashes while running MS Word and Notepad
I have an Emachine T1100, Intel Celeron 1.0 GHz, updated to 348 RAM. The system runs rather well BUT.
System will crash and reboot when I run MS Word Processor, Notepad, and while encoding video with Tmpgenc or Nero. Nero does burn video though. It happens every time with these programs after just a couple of minutes running.
Its like I unplugged and rebooted.
Write an event log to system is enabled. But not sure where to find it. Where do I go from here?

Just checked the log and this is what I get in the Event Viewer.
Under Application I get: EAPOL service was started succesfully
Is this what I am looking for.

This might be it. Under Security I get this Failure Audit:
IPSec Services: IPSec Services failed to get the complete list of network interfaces on the machine. This can be a potential security hazard to the machine since some of the network interfaces may not get the protection as desired by the applied IPSec filters. Please run IPSec monitor snap-in to further diagnose the problem.

I not sure if that would be the problem, but it sure doesn't sound good.
