Hi all, new user here just lookin for a 2nd or 3rd opinion on this issue. Gf's laptop boots up and goes black after the dell logo and windows load screen comes up. I think it's either video card issue or the backlight going bad, I told her to hook it up to an external monitor hoping to find out the issue. Any other thoughts for fixes or known issues? Laptop is a Dell D630 running XP.
Update: computer does NOT keep running. There was a cd in the machine
hard drive stops and has to be looked at by helpdesk.
