Hi just joined here looking for any help i can get.
My younger brother has a new 2TB HDD and wants to add it to his system.
So far everthing has been fine but i went to install the new disk and the BIOS doesnt detect it.
The disk is a 2GB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM the MOBO is a MSI x370 carbon.
Things i have tried:
Part swapping other disks
changing Sata ports(weirdly when i move the current disk containing windows and files and the like to different ports is works fine.)
I have tried moving the disks to other PCs they seem fine.
The parts and cables are all working from a series of swap testing but when I try and put them onto this board it wont pick them up. I have tried runnning them in a port i know works with cables i know work and just the disk by itself and nothing.
Please help :,)
