World of Warcraft patch issues

I have recently started wow and everything was going well, until the first patch for me to download came. I logged in and the loader opened and stays at 0%. About a minute later a message pops up that says," Patch required. Press restart button below to exit world of warcraft and download the patch." So i press the restart and the login page pops up and says," Failed to apply patch. Please try again later. If this problem persists you may need to reinstall or contact technical support."
I have taken down all of my firewalls, the lan one and the software one, i reinstalled wow, and i opened up my control pannel and deselected open up a proxy server and automatically detect settings, i've opened with and without the launcher, and tried downloading the patch from an outside source. I also tried to toggle on and off working online, offline, and downloaded the patches to an external hard drive from a friends comp. and then downloaded them to mine. I posted this on wow forums for about a week, bumping the post every 2 days and have yet to get any responses. I am at my wits end and looking for any help possible.
