Word 2010 Entering form Data Dissapearing Bookmarks

I created a template with textform fileds and then bookmarked my fields. i cross referenced them throughout the template where ever they need to be repeated. When I open the template and start filing in the form fields the bookmarks get deleted as they are entered with data leaving me with Reference Source Not Found on my cross references. How can i enter data into a form field, create it as a bookmark that stays and does not dissapear?

Hi jlisthaus,

The correct way to assign a bookmark to a formfield is to use the formfield's 'bookmark' property. Indeed, Word assigns a default bookmark name (eg Text1, Text2, etc) to each formfield as it's created (not copied).
