I'm using Word2000 to mail merge a foxpro 2.6 database for labels. (Doing this because I can't get the spacing right in my Foxpro application for 3-across, 30 per page labels-Avery 8160).

No problem with importing the table and setting up the merge, but this is a situation where I have "his and hers" first names, and while the logic in my Foxpro program was taken care of nicely with an IIF statement, I don't see how to do this in Word.

I want to have the first line of each label use the field FIRST1 followed by a space and LASTNAME in the case where there is only one person in the label, or FIRST1 & FIRST2 followed by a space and LASTNAME in the case where there are two people:
John Smith (or)
John & Mary Smith

Is there any way that this going to happen?
