I'm trying to help my kids via Long D phone support, they have a relic. The cats stole the mouse ball. they tried a new optical mouse on it with Win95 and adpt'er to fit the serial port. No go. They just couldn't find serial mouse any where. So I help them upgrade to 98se, the new mouse went back, and they have a PS2 mouse and driver . Prob. only a serial port, with adpt'er, I had them enable PS2 mouse in BIOS but OS keep s coming back with "Turn off comp attach PS2 mouse and restart" even after OK driver install. It is Award BIOS, generic box, and OS was installed with no Mouse did that screw with it any? Thanks, I know,... I am about to just send a new unit, it's just bugging me!
