i hav a problem: i cannot install wmp11.
i tried the tip from "geekgirl" (a routine which gives acces (permisions) to registry keys, but it doesn't help me further.
after having waited for the end of the routine, i went on the windows update website but it told me i was already uptodate.
then i tried to relaunch the wmp11 installer, but it always tells me to reboot for completing the install and to retry after the reboot but it does never install.
please help.
below is the error message:

i had already seen that page and it said that the error mentioned was not the most important one and that i had to check on the wmplayer.log file for the other ones.
but the error should be on renaming registry keys, but i don't manage in renaming them two.
Hi

It mentions to either rename or delete those particular registry keys.

Before that, uninstall WMP11 totally, if you find it in "Add/Remove Programs" in Control Panel. Now download CCleaner and run it. Reboot your computer and try installing it now.

It seems 3rd party applications have messed about with the permissions on some registry keys, but it could be a generic error caused by something other.

Let is know how that goes.
I also cannot install wmp 11 !! someone please help!

:upset: I have been researching this for 5 days now and nothing I do works! I have tried to uninstall but because it was never really installed properly I cannot uninstall it. I have tried system restore, tried to rename registry keys, removed , i tunes, onstalled c clean and ran it----nothing works! When I try to install I get error 80070005.
Does anyone have any more suggestions I can try? I would greatly appreciate any help!!
