when i turn on my computer (next to a router)

it does not automatically begin searching for wireless networks

when i go to the network sharing center
it tells me there are no networks to find

when i turn off the wireless with a switch and turn it back on, the computer starts looking for networks, and logs on to the internet

is there a way to make the computer do that without switching the wireless off and on ?

I have heard of some laptops that do exactly this while some automatically connects/sees available networks. There seems to be no known solution. However I found a similar issue in the Fujitsu forum. See this: http://forum.ts.fujitsu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=31866
