I am connecting to a broadband connection through an apple router with my dell xps studio 16 laptop i got last January, when I used to connect the internet would work just fine, however ever since I unplugged the router on acciddent, resetting it somehow I think, I have not been able to use the internet for anything intensive such as streaming netflix or playing Heroes of Newerth. When I do, netflix says my connection has slowed and I have to disc/connect to the same network and it will work for about another three minutes until it cuts out again. I spoke with my friend who works in computer science and he said to post my network card info rather than router info because he's almost positive it is a bug with my network card settings.

Here they are:
Intel(R) WiFi link 5300 AGN on windows7 dell studio xps 16
connected to apple router with 802.11n radius type and WPA2-PSK security

any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks for all your help in advance!

I would suggest creating a new wireless connection

Control Panel...Network and Internet...Network and Sharing Center...Setup a new connection...Connect to the Internet...Setup a new connection anyway.

Then enter your network and security settings and see if it works.
