Hi having problem with connecting my laptop wirelessly to my home network. It is connecting but sometimes takes up to 20 mins to do so.When i switch on wireless button on laptop it detects my network immediately but as i say takes its time connecting. My wifes toshiba laptop connects straight away no problem. Advice i have had so far seems to lean towards software problem, when it does connect it works flawlessly

Well, the fact that it does connect would lead me to be looking for malware/spyware, not a configuration issue.

Perhaps we need to see a HijackThis log from that machine.

Go to the Device Manager and find out what internal wireless card make and model is in you laptop.

Intel wireless cards are notorious for having problems and usually can be be corrected with driver updates from the Intel site.

The Intel 2100/2200 are the most common Intel internal wireless cards used.
