I have a fully working XP system with four partitions and can boot to either; I can read floppy and create DOS start up floppy if required from within XP. If asked to reboot (and run a DOS program) - e.g. Acronis True Image re installing partition image or HD utility (partition magic) needing to run from floppy then the PC reboots, fires up the floppy drive and then hangs. Sometimes I get the first line from the floppy (e.g. Starting Caldrea DR-DOS) - or nothing if just a plain DOS start up disk. Although the PC reads the floppy and files on it it will not run any programs. Is there something missing from 'C' root?
