WinXP Takskbar Lock!!!

hi, every time i turn my computer on and start up into win xp my taskbar locks right up i cant clikc nothing on it at all but eveerything on my desktop is fine and everythinhg else works and when i drag windows over the taskbar the images of the windows stay there what the heck is going on???

Can you point at the task bar and right click it to get into the properties?

Is there an hourglass shown when you place your cursor over the taskbar?

Im getting this same problem.....taskbar - hourglass - not being able to click on anything, when I got to explorer.exe in the PROCESSES list and ENDTASK and then restart it in the NEWTASK (RUN) thing, everything works fine but I don't wanna have to do this everytime I boot my computer,.....any thoughts?...
