My computer installed that this morning when it was still working.. and now it won't work. Is that even a real service pack?? Whenever i try to turn it on, it's always a blank screen after the Windows XP loading screen pops up. I tried to reset the BIOS values but then now it won't go to the Windows loading screen. It stops and displays "DISC BOOT ERROR. INSERT SYSTEM DISC AND PRESS ENTER". Can anyone help me please? :sigh:

It's not a real SP. This was/is the message you get if you had deleted your System files. Before Windows you would have inserted the DOS 1 disk and entered the command at the A:/ prompt sys C:. Dos would then copy the Sys files back to the C drive and you would be able to boot. If you have your Xp disk you might be able to do a repair . Have read here.
