Hey everyone...

This one is all about me and my XP probs after it died a couple of days ago, due to HDD failure...

I ended up bying a new hard disk and re-installing XP by booting from the install CD...

Problem is, upon intalling it (and after plenty of blue screens) the installation finally completes by ariving at the welcome screen. Yay! right? WRONG... Once you click on a user or even try to log on as admin using ctrl+alt+del (it had no password as I successfully logged in while booting recovery mode) it gives me a message about a problem with the domain, which is a little annoying seeing as the installation mentioned no such thing, there are no options to change the domain, and I don't have a network...

Any ideas to fix this would be appreciated..

Thanx...

Welcome Mr_S..................

Is this a brand spankin' new hard drive right out of the box.

If so what brand is it and does the bios recognize it?

If you're getting blue screens during the installation, you need to address those first, since there's no telling how corrupted the installation is. You have some sort of hardware issue, that has to be fixed before you'll ever get a working installation.
