what was it running before you attempt to install xp now...? have you used this install disk before and it worked fine? what is the make and model of the PC? how much RAM you running and what size harddrive is installed...?
Windows XP Install Issue
Hi all,
If anyone can offer advice on this it would be a HUGE help. I'm in the midst of trying to install windows xp on an older computer (8ish years old). When I get to the part of the installation where it says loading devices, the screen goes completely blank and never recovers. I'm assuming its a problem with the video driver that xp is trying to install, but I have no clue how to fix it.
This computer has run xp in the past, and I can't understand why there's an issue now.
