Hi,

I would just like to ask about my 25-digit product key for Windows XP Home Edition that doesn't work. I used it once on my laptop, and for some reason, after i fully reformatted my computer, it doesnt work anymore. The key is just a sticker on the bottom of my laptop and I bought this laptop right from Toshiba, 100% original. I'm typing the key in correctly, that's for sure, but every time i type it in, it just gives me this error that says that my CD key has been typed in wrong/invalid or something. What should I do???

During the authentication there is a phone number to call at Microsoft all you do is call that number and explain to the Microsoft agent what is going on and they usually fix the problem by giving you a new number.

Did you use the recovery partition/CD to reinstall ? An OEM product key won't work with a retail install CD. If the recovery partition is damaged/unexistant and if you didn't get any recovery CD's then contact Toshiba to order them.
